Kedron Brook Dog Park

This park follows a stretch of Kedron Brook, offering over 2 hectares of open grass and shallow creek beds for dogs to explore. Though basic, there are water taps and seating scattered along the creek, along with waste bins at regular intervals. The infrastructure is minimal but functional. Local owners frequent this park during cooler parts of the day. Early mornings and late afternoons bring friendly dog-owner groups and occasional fetch players. A typical visit sees pups racing through the grass, stopping to dip a paw in the creek, while owners chat on benches. The creek gives an added refreshing break in summer. During Brisbane’s winter, the shallow water stays cool and inviting; in summer the creek and partial shade make it bearable at dawn and dusk. Heavy rain can swell the brook—best to wait a few hours before heading in.
