Hi There! We’re Nick and Winter, the proud local owners of Brisbane Dog Walkers.

Our dog walking service was started in 2022 when I (Nick) decided to take a break from my engineering career to pursue a lifelong passion—spending more time with dogs. My love for dogs runs deep, and it all started with my mum. For 18 years, she bred Newfoundlands—those giant, bear-like dogs that hold a special place in my heart—and now, she’s shifted her focus to the much smaller, but equally adorable Norwich Terriers. As I write this, we’re awaiting the arrival of six Norwich puppies next month! Growing up, I thought having an army of dogs around, ranging from Newfoundlands to Portuguese Water Dogs and Greyhounds, was the norm. Weekend dog shows were also part of the routine, though I’ll happily leave those to my mum these days!

While dog shows aren't my thing, my passion for dogs has never waned. I’ve been around dogs of all shapes and sizes for as long as I can remember, so it’s safe to say I have plenty of experience handling everything from tiny terriers to gentle giants. And while I don’t like to play favorites, giant breeds will always have a soft spot in my heart.

My partner Winter, the more sensible half of our duo, didn’t grow up with quite as many dogs—but her love for animals is just as strong. From her childhood right through to today, her life has been filled with all kinds of animals, from family dogs to sheep, alpacas, horses, and more. Together, we bring a deep love for animals and a wealth of experience to Brisbane Dog Walkers.
